At the height of their big-screen popularirty, three 1970s superstars head the cast of the action-thriller Three The Hard Way. Directed with style and panache by Gordon Parks, Jr., the film stars Jim Brown, Fred Williamson and Jim Kelly as a unitrio out to stop a secret white supremacist organizaton that plans to contaminate the water supplies of Detroit, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. with a substance that is a lethal poison only to the Black population. While not shying away from the excessing and absurdity the genre is known for, Three The Hard Way takes a more explicitly political spin on the Blaxploitation genre.
